6 Bananas a Day? How about 30?

6 Bananas a Day? How about 30?

After a quick intro to wellness today in 2nd Block Cardio/Health, a student raised her hand and asked if it was good for you to eat 6 bananas a day.  It was clear that she knew someone that does this and she wanted to confirm that this person is crazy.

I immediately thought of The China StudyDr. Douglas Graham, and the 30 bananas a day guy/blog.  As Jon Soldo explains Frutarianism, you simply do the following:

  • Eat as much raw, organic, fruit as you want
  • Aim 80% carbohydrates, 10% protein, and 10% fats, instead of the typical 40% carbohydrates, 40% protein, and 20% fats.
  • Consider milk and cheese as pure poison

That’s sounds both simple and absolutely nuts.  I’ve never tried it but I have to say that I’m curious at the very least.  Check out the details at thefruitarian.com and let me know what do you think?
