Could My Chocolate Habit be Good For Me?

Could My Chocolate Habit be Good For Me?

Way to go UCSD.  A team led by Beatrice Golomban, associate professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego, recently completed a study in which they found a correlation between eating chocolate and staying lean.  This caught my eye after hearing a presentation on chocolate and carob last week.  Here’s how the study went down: With a sample size of 1000 (ages 20-85) they found that people who reported to eat more chocolate each week consume more calories than those who ate less chocolate.  No surprise so far.  However, these same chocolate lovers had a lower BMI (body mass index) than those who consumed less chocolate.  So grab a bag of chocolate chips and read the rest of the study.  Actually, you should probably read the rest of the study before grabbing the chocolate chips.
