How To Pass a Volleyball

Passing a volleyball can be pretty simple.  Here are the 5 steps to pulling off the perfect pass.

  1. The ready positon – keep your knees bent, your weight on your toes, and be ready to move forward.
  2. Create your platform – First, put your left hand out in front of you with your palm up.  Then place the 4 fingers of your right hand (also with your palm up) on top of the 4 fingers of your left hand so they are perpendicular to one another.  Cup your hands together as if you are going to carry a handful of water.  Then put your thumbs together (parallel to one another) on top of your fingers.
  3. Keep your arms straight.
  4. Face the direction from which the ball is coming.
  5. Angle your platform toward the direction you’d like to pass the ball.  You will angle the platform by dropping one of your shoulders.
